My Ovislink wl-5460 became broken after strong storm. One of two LAN ports stopped to work and device ceased to respond after about 2 minutes. I realized it became very hot at at bottom, the reason was one of the Realtek RTL8201CP chip produced a lot of head. First I was about to switch the unit on and wait until the broken part burn up and stop heating at all 
Then I decided to wipe the broken chip away. Using maped cutter I cutted all the pins from board without problem. The device works again.
